Labs and Software background Student Resources
The Computer Science Department maintains several open computer labs and closed labs for class. The open computer lab is in CS-200/CS-202.

The Open Lab Hours
Monday --- 9:15am - 5:30pm
Tuesday --- 9:00am - 7:00pm
Wednesday --- 9:15am - 7:00pm
Thursday --- 9:00am - 8:30pm
Friday --- 9:15am - 12:00pm
Saturday --- 9:00am - 1:00pm
Sunday --- Closed


There is a campus-wide Computer Center located in the basement of the Library. This lab contains computers running the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. For more information about the campus Computer Center, drop by or call the library at (714) 278-2633.

Wireless Network Access
The College of Engineering and Computer Science is equipped with a wireless network. You can connect to Internet with your laptop anywhere near the building. If you want to use the wireless network service, please visit the Computer Science office in room CS-522 with your photo ID and fill out an application form.

Computer Account
As a Computer Science student, you may get a special Titan computer account. Titan is a Unix based server used throughout the Computer Science Department. To get a Titan account, visit the Computer Science office in room CS-522 with your photo ID and fill out an application form.

Software
The Computer Science Department maintains the licenses for following software for class usages through the Academic Aliance Program:
  • Microsoft
    • Windows XP Professional
    • Windows 2003 Server
    • Visual Studio .NET 2005
    • SQL Server 2005
    • Access 2003
    • Visio Professional 2003
    • Project Professional 2003
  • Oracle
  • IBM Rational Rose
If you want to get a copy of the Microsoft software, please fill out an Application Form and bring it to the Computer Science office in room CS-522 with your photo ID.
